You gotta remember to setup your router if you want to use these p2p softwares.

0- goto the dos command line and get the ipaddress of your computer. Start > Run > cmd

0.1 - enter ipconfig. The freaking ip addring will be samthin like : 192.168.1.x (whre x is replaced by some other frukkin number). Write this number on your foot!

1. get the ip addresses from the Connection menu somewhere in the preferences. In eMule it's Prefs > Connection > and there's two addresses. One for tcp and one for udp. WRITE THESE DOWN! OR MEMORY-IZE THEM!

2) yOU GOTTA freakin put forwarding to your stankin computer in your router. For linksys, goto http://192.168.1.1/Forward.asp and enter the ip address range founded in stoop 1.

the user commands for the Dragon naturally editing system . they are add-ons that allow you to do things such as resize the window and switch between tasks in the Taskbar. I'm using the speech-recognition program, well actually, I am training it to understand my voice and to understand the way talk.

In fact, I'm indicating this right now it seems to be getting better at understanding what I'm saying . in fact is very fast, but he gets the punctuation off as you can tell and misses a few words here and there but it really matters if you talk clearly are not . and I have a tendency not to talk clearly . so this will be good for me to learn how to think before I say something.

Also, it will help me to annunciate words better. Because I do have the problem of mumbling sometimes when I speak in people have a problem of understanding what I say.

How to password protect apache directory

(in the direcotry)

.htaccess contains:

AuthName Secret Directory Access
AuthType Basic
Require valid-user
AuthUserFile /home/yourusername/mypasswords/.nameoffile

.nameoffile contains:

user1:asdfasdfasdf2
user2:ergvdsdfef34f
...

'AuthName' causes the browser to display something like, 'Enter username for Secret Directory Access at www.thedomain.com:' 'AuthType Basic' tells it to use the 'AuthUserFile' for authentication. (no other types are currently available.) 'Require valid-user' says to only allow a valid-user, you can also use 'Allow' and 'Deny' to stop certain domains.
The .nameoffile contains simple text usernames followed by a ':' and then 13 characters that are the encrypted password for that user. These can be generated with a simple cgi (http://www.ntr.net/cgi-bin/crypt.cgi) and a simple program to generate them (and the passwd file!) on the shell line if it is enabled for your account type. (/usr/local/bin/makencsa)
Note that the file '.nameoffile' has a period in front of it and is NOT in the www directories. Putting your password file where it could be downloaded would be a VERY bad idea. It is possible to crack simple passwords (one word or name in all upper or lower case is crackable in seconds!) so it is recommended that you use good sense and pick tough passwords that contain a number, symbol, and letter combination. The dot in front of the file simply hides the file from view during normal file listing on unix systems.

It isn't real security but it does mark the file as special when YOU list it. The permissions on the file should be 644. This means that it can be read/write for you and world readable (webserver). Those people who have a full webserver running under their own userid (ask about this since it only occurs when requested and only on some account types), may set the permissions to 600 and disallow anyone else on the system from reading the fi"

The correct for mat for the CRAWL_DIRS parameter is
"!DRIVE_LETTER_1[TAB_KEY]!DRIVE_LETTER_2[TAB_KEY]" Replace the
DRIVE_LETTER with your drive ie. C: or D: and [TAB_KEY] eith the actual
tab character " ".

If you do not feel confortable with editing your registry, it would be best for you to wait untill someone codes a plugin for additional drives.

As far as backups, I’m with Marc Orchant: I backup my entire hard drive on a regular basis. I’ve tried all of the partial solutions, such as DataKeeper and other file backup/syncing applications that just backup subsets of data, but at the end of the day the easiest, least time-consuming, and most effective solution has been to make a disk image on a regular basis. I currently use Symantec’s Drive Image (it used to be PowerQuest before Symantec bought them) – which has been replaced by (or renamed as) Ghost 9, I believe. It’s a huge application compared to other disk imaging solutions, but at least it lets you image your drive while Windows is running (many other applications still require you to run them from DOS or from outside Windows).
